Passive Oil Barrier, vertical (Containment Barrier), floaters vertically arranged
The AR-85 consists of a polyester fiber reinforced and chemicals resistant PVC sheet, which features a very high grade mechanical resistance. The floating capability is made possible by foam parts, which are located in the attached PVC floating bags. There are also the ballast elements made of profile lead, which ensure the rigidity of the design.
The quick coupling system of the segments facilitates in an emergency case the fast separation of the barriers. It is designed in a way that no oil can intrude at the joints.
Application
The AR-85 is especially well suitable for protecting docks, refineries, shipyards, harbors, etc. and keep them free of oil and rubbish. In these areas a barrier is needed, which is extremely robust and break resistant. The AR-85 is therefore especially very well suitable for rough environmental conditions in industrial applications. The AR-85 distinguishes from the AR-70 by a greater number of floaters, by an even more robust design and by a higher weight.
